Family Support:
Addiction doesn’t affect only the person who is misusing the substance; it affects every member of the family in a negative way.
Relationships can deteriorate. Communication can break down entirely and be replaced with mistrust and anger.
At Lilith House we believe that the entire family should be involved in the recovery process, and we encourage family members to visit, listen, learn and help in any way they can.
It is important for the family members of a person suffering from addiction to become involved in the recovery, speak to a counselor, visit the house and familiarize themselves with the different treatment options available to them.
At Lilith House we support this family participation, and, on top of our regular visiting hours, we have a designated family day once a month when family members are invited to the house, and are allowed to address any questions or concerns they may have.
